Bethel Parents & Fans
Below are a few IMPORTANT updates regarding athletic events and scrimmages taking place at Bethel Local Schools on August 21 and August 22.
The varsity football scrimmage vs. Cedarville (8/21) will take place at L.F. Slagel Field. Spectators will NOT be allowed inside the stadium at this scrimmage. Our goal in hosting this scrimmage is to provide our athletes and coaches with an opportunity to prepare for a Week 1 contest on such short notice following the Governor’s new order. We would like to ask for your compliance, so that we can continue to have a season this fall. We look forward to seeing our parents / family members at our first home game Week 2 vs. Fort Loramie.
Saturday’s girl’s and boy’s varsity soccer season opening match v. Eaton will be played WITH limited spectators on Saturday (8/22). Due to current orders, only parents / family members of players and coaches may purchase a ticket. Ticket information including method and allotment numbers for this event will be sent out to soccer parents tomorrow afternoon via Final Forms. All tickets will be pre-sale and done online through our athletic website. There will be no tickets available at the gate for general admission. Additionally, due to capacity guidelines and to allow for equitable attendance at both games, we will be clearing the stadium after the girl’s game to allow for spectators of that event to enter the facility.
More information will be forthcoming in our “Return to Competition Plan” as we prepare to host volleyball, soccer, and football games this weekend and through next week. This plan is being finalized and needs to be approved by the Miami County Health Department and Ohio Department of Health before implementation. New spectator limitations will be in place at our facilities, along with other guidelines and modifications.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and flexibility during this time.
